Woman Found Dead in Sorgum Field

Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the finding of a dead woman’s body in a Sorgum field quarter mile north of FM 490 on M. Davila Sr. Road in Hargill.
The body was fond around 5:30 Monday afternoon and un-official sources say it is that of a Hispanic woman in her 20′s or 30′s. The case is being treated as a homicide. The woman appears to have taken a blow to the head with a blunt object. Investigators have several suspects in custody and autopsy reports have been ordered.
