Jurors are now deciding whether a Pharr church was negligent in hiring a pastor who later abused a 14-year-old boy.
This morning attorneys in the case against trinity worship center finished their closing arguments.
hector canales, attorney for the boy’s parents, asked jurors to consider awarding David and Rosalee reast $2 million for their pain and suffering,
42 year-old Robert dale Franklin is in prison for sexually assaulting the young man.
Franklin had been stripped of his pastoral license once in a past position for entering a gay bar in Mexico, an incident that church leaders at the time were informed of but chose not to further investigate further
