A wanted fugitive, on the run for 18 years, was arrested by the United States Marshals Service. Edmundo Lozano-Rendon, 55, was wanted by the United States Marshals Service for violating the conditions of his federal supervised release terms. Lozano-Rendon was indicted in 1990 by a grand jury in Laredo, Texas for the offense of money laundering. Lozano-Rendon served 24 months but fled to Mexico in 1994 to avoid a $7,500 fine. Lozano-Rendon was taken into custody from a house in Edinburg and is currently being detained at the Hidalgo County Jail pending the outcome of his case.
