Victim of Hit and Run Accident Remains a “Jane Doe”

Harlingen police are still trying to identify the elderly woman they believe died the victim of a hit and run accident over the weekend.
Official reports indicate the victim’s body is that of an elderly woman, with this in mind authorities have gone to local nursing homes asking if they are missing any one of their patients.
As you might recall the accident happened on the 5800 block east on Grimes Street in Harlingen.
The woman was wearing a white shirt with horizontal aqua stripes, a black skirt with a multicolored flowered print; she had gray hair and brown eyes.
