Authorities have identified the man found dead earlier this week in a rural subdivision. 29-year-old Rafael Echavaria Castillo was found on Tuesday shot and stabbed several times in the middle of Brushline Road in the Paplote Subdivision. Castillo’s mother was able to identify the victim as her son because of the pictures of tattoos released by authorities. Deputies are now asking the public to help locate a gold 2007 Dodge Caravan with Texas plates 994 VLN. The van is a rental and was last seen being driven by the victim the day of the murder.
