Verdict Reached for Murder Case at McAllen’s Royal Inn Hotel

A jury handed down a guilty verdict for 27-year-old Jose Antonio Torres-flamenco in the murder Yvette Cardenas. According to investigators in the case, Flamenco and a second man identified as Marlon de Jesus-Hernandez strangled Cardenas with a rope after she allegedly refused to have sex with both men. Flamenco and Hernandez supposedly left the victim at the Royal Inn Hotel Room and her body was discovered the following morning by hotel staff. A jury composed of eight female jurors and four males continues deliberating on a sentence for Flamenco, who could learn his punishment as early as tomorrow morning.
