It was just north of Edinburg on curry road on Friday where a two-year-old girl was nearly mauled to death by a pitbull. Her mother had left her in the care of a friend and she was playing in the back yard when the pitbull came loose from its restraint and unleashed its fury on her. The young girl was found moments later with her face severely mauled. She has since been moved to a hospital in San Antonio where she is fighting to stay alive. Meanwhile, the pitbull was picked up by animal control.
