Tobacco Tax Increase

Those people who are addicted to nicotine have one more reason to quit smoking— starting tomorrow tobacco products will reflect an increase in their price.
Valley residents will be shelling out an extra dollar just in federal taxes and that doesn’t include state taxes. The new tax increase applies also to cigars, smokeless and roll your own tobacco.
The nationwide tax is part of a bill that was signed into law by president Obama to help provide funding for health care to uninsured or under insured children.
