While professional wrestling may not be recognized by the masses as a sport, it is truly an art form and an impressive display of athleticism, storytelling, and entertainment. The battle inside the squared circle has been a part of our popular culture for over a century. Merced Solis better known by his ring name “Tito Santana” was one of wrestling’s “Good Guys” for over two decades. He wrestled all over the world on some of the biggest stages. But, his heart and his roots have always been right here in Rio Grande Valley. Here is the story of Mission’s Living Legend and one of pro wrestling’s all-time greats Tito Santana
