The Benefits of Egg Yolks

We all know that egg whites are a good source of protein, but did you know that the yolks have a few benefits of their own? for the cholesterol conscious, eating an egg yolk may seem taboo, but like most foods that are high in cholesterol, they are also high in nutrients, namely, Choline. Egg yolks are one of the best sources of Choline, a nutrient that is essential for healthy heart and brain function. Choline is a key component in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, however researchers at Iowa State University have discovered that 90% of Americans are Choline deficient. You can make sure to get your Choline count by simply taking part in breakfast. Eating just two eggs will account for half of your recommended Choline intake for the day.
