Teresa Navarro To Stand Trial Before End of Year

Teresa Navarro was indicted in 2008 on theft, tampering with government records, organized crime and misuse of county credit cards charges. On Tuesday, the former Hidalgo County Elections Administrator appeared with her Defense Attorney Terry Palacios in court to discuss a plea agreement which would land the former public official and her co-defendants with a misdemeanor conviction but instead the defense chose to take their chances with a jury on a trial set for late December, but Hidalgo County D.A. Rene Guerra says he highly doubts it.
