Teen to be tried as adult in teacher’s death

A Cameron County judge has decided to try the 16 -year-old involved in the murder of a Harlingen teacher as an adult.
It was at the Darrel Hester juvenile detention center in San Benito, where it was determined that the 16 year-old male, whose identity has not been revealed, will be tried as an adult for the murder of 49 year-old John Farr, a high school teacher who was stabbed to death.
The juvenile who was arrested on June 16, now faces capital murder charges and will remain in the juvenile detention center until further notice.
