After being abandoned by his father amid a drug bust, the teen left behind was formally charged for his actions.
18-year-old Jesus Garcia from ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas was charged with one count of possession of marijuana and one count of evading arrest.
He and his father were on the run from cops with a ford focus trunk full of drugs. 460lbs. of pot to be exact. The two were pulled over on the streets of La Joya in the rancho heights subdivision when they made a run for it. Only the son was caught. He told police he was riding with his father to a motel before his planned trip to migrate north.
