South Padre Island wants to attract more tourism to the area. There is now talk of a cruise line t as a new attraction. It has been reported that S.P.I. officials are considering investing some money in order to become a cruiselines port of entry. The property along the Brownsville shipping canal, next to Isla Blanca, would be utilized for this purpose, allowing tourist to travel along the gulf coast. Officials say the attraction could generate some big bucks.
