Weslaco DPS arrest a driver after seizing roughly a ton of marijuana from the tractor-trailer he was driving. The semi truck was spotted by Troopers heading north on Highway 281 and FM 2812 and stopped for a traffic violation when the officer discovered 80 bundles and marijuana concealed inside boxes. Edinburg (KFXV) –Two UTRGV students were detained. Markeisha Nicole Watson and Santana Barrera were both arrested this past Saturday after police stopped their vehicle on the 1600 block of west Khun Street– when an officer smelled a strong marijuana odor emanating from the vehicle. Brownsville (KFXV) — During a narcotics investigation, agents with the Brownsville Police Department responded to a local motel on the 700 block of North Expressway. Upon arrival, law enforcement made contact with a man who was pacing, and acting erratically. Brownsville (KFXV) — On Monday U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents seized over $81,000 dollars of alleged marijuana. The seizure took place at the Gateway International Bridge. 409 pounds of the stuff were found hidden in a blue Chevy Silverado.
