Every year a number of unaccompanied children die when trying to cross the Rio Grande River illegally. In the first half of 2015, 18,500 unaccompanied children were detained at the U.S. – Mexico border. From January to June 2016, Border Patrol intersected 26,000 undocumented children– about a 40% increase up last year. Shoplifters Threaten Police With Pliers

In Brownsville, a couple of shoplifters with two small children threaten to harm police. 26 year old, Eduardo Rocha and 24 year old, Claudia Alaniz ran out of Sunrise Mall and across Expressway 83 and behind a restaurant near a home improvement store dragging two small children with them. As officers tried to detain them, Rocha threatened to harm the police with pliers.
