Harlingen Man Sentenced to 60 Years for Sexual Abuse of Child

HARLINGEN (KFXV) — On Monday, a Harlingen man received a 60 year sentence for continuous sexual abuse of a child. According to authorities, 27-year-old, Kevin Kaster received 60 years for the charge, and 20 years for indecency with a child. Both sentences are to be served concurrently. The Cameron County District Attorney’s office child abuse unit collaborated with the Rio Grande Valley Child Exploitation Investigations Task Force, and the U.S. Attorney’s office to arrest, and prosecute Kaster. MISSION (KFXV) — Caught on camera in Mission, a man faces charges after dragging a German Shepherd with his motorized scooter. The video surfaced on social media accounts, and was sent to various media outlets. 59 year old, Mario Cardona captured on video saying it is his dog and not to worry. Animal Control inspected the canine, revealing the dog had injuries. HIDALGO COUNTY (KFXV) — The driver of a moving truck with 19 undocumented people and fled from police. Wednesday he went before a court. He’s identified as Roel Eduardo Coronel who received three charges for human trafficking, evading arrest in a vehicle and on foot. The judged gave the 25-year-old a $205,000 bond.
