Suspected Smuggler Crashes into Fence with Human Cargo

A suspicious vehicle leads police on a chase and ends op slamming into a fence.
McAllen Police were following a suspicious ford f250 early this morning when they found out it was reported stolen. When they attempted to stop the driver he fled.
“At the 2200 block of w. Jackson the vehicle struck a fence and this resulted in a pursuit which ended in a backyard at the residence on the 800 block of s. 22nd St,” says Sgt. Joel Morales of McAllen P.D.
Police say a large group of people escaped from the vehicle, but were ultimately caught. 9 un-documented immigrants were turned over to border patrol. The suspected smuggler and driver of the stolen pick-up however, got away.
