Suspect Arrested in Bizarre Sex Crime in Harlingen

Police have arrested the second suspect wanted in connection to a bizarre sex crime in Harlingen where a 15-year-old girl claims she was beaten, drugged and forced to have sex with a man twice her age.
Police say 34-year-old Carlos Freddy Perez sexually assaulted the teen in September. Since then, Perez remained on the run but was arrested yesterday afternoon.
His accomplice Randolph McKinley also remains behind bars.
According to investigators, the victim was picked up at a park, and then taken to a local motel where she was forced to have sex with Perez.
McKinley is believed to be the brains behind this vicious crime.
He was arrested on Friday at a local motel where police found crack cocaine, marijuana, Xanax and other prescription medication.
This morning, Perez was charged with one count for sexual assault and issued a $50,000 bond.
