As soldiers continue to go off to war, a local teacher wanted to teach her students a lesson while getting them to do something for others as well. Ms. Blank and Alton middle school teacher has had her students writing letters to soldiers in Iraq, while teaching them how to write a proper letter.
The kids visited www.anysoldier.com in order to pick a man or a woman serving in the military weather it be with the army, marines, or navy to name a few. She teaches sixth through eight grade and has all of her students participating.
Not only are the students writing letters but they are also sending items to the soldiers that they can use while serving the country. Many of them are in need of simple items, and some don’t have families to send them things, so the Alton blank middle school students want to do their part.
Ms. Blank says she wants to continue writing the soldier
