Since the hurricane, the Red Cross continues to make their humanitarian presence known with hot meals for citizens in affected areas.
They’ve been seen all over the valley but this particular group of volunteers were at the Donna fire department giving out food and water to those that need it. Since power, clean water and residences have been a struggle for many neighborhood, the red cross is lending a helping hand until most are able to stand on their own two feet. Until that point though, Doug Willinger says they’ll be here as long as needed.
Although the work is arduous, members of the Red Cross tell Fox 2 news it’s all worth while when they can see a smile and feed a family
