SPI Police Respond to Auto-Ped; Stabbing; Fall From Balcony
South Padre Island, (KFXV) — Authorities are investigating several incidents that took place last night.
One includes a road accident that left at least two people in critical condition.
Two women are in police custody tonight in connection to an auto pedestrian accident that left several people injured.
The accident happened just after midnight on the 4200 block of Gulf Boulevard.
Police say, a group of five people were hit by a driver, who didn’t stop to render aid.
All victims are valley residents.
The suspect– a 20-year-old woman from Sugarland, Texas — was detained today at approximately one o’clock.
Police are also investigating the stabbing of a 32-year-old man near the 6200 block of Padre Boulevard.
The victim was stabbed five times but no arrests have been made.
A few blocks from that area, another valley native fell off a second floor balcony. His medical condition remains unknown but as officials prepare to receive more ‘spring breakers’ over the weekend, Fire Chief, Doug Fowler is introducing new tools this year that could potentially help save lives.

South Padre, has been receiving an average of 15,0000 vehicles daily and continue to receive help by neighboring law enforcement agencies.
