Shooting suspect still at large

Several individuals involved in a drive-by shooting in Harlingen, are now behind bars…but another is still at large. The incident happened on September 14th on “J” street and Buchanan avenue. The victim identified as Ruben Lozoya was rushed to a hospital after receiving two gunshot wounds.
Five days later, Michael Valdez was arrested. He received 5 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Matthew Mitchell and a juvenile were arrested and charged also with five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Another suspect, Erik Gallegos, was arrested on October 9th 2008 after turning himself in to authorities. All men involved will receive 1st degree felony charges for engaging in organized crime. Nevertheless, Rodolfo Martinez is currently wanted on an outstanding warrants for his involvement in this case.
