Shooting at Bar Rio in McAllen

A man is in critical condition tonight after he was shot inside a local bar.

Shortly before 2 am this morning, police responded to a shooting at a Mcallen night club… Investigators say one person was shot inside Bar Rio located near 10th street and Nolana.

This is the second shooting in less than two months at this same bar… On December 21, 2009 Mcallen police officers arrived to the bar’s parking lot and found 18 year old Manuel Montes shot in a lower extremity.

This time, the shooting happened inside the bar, where as many as 100 people were present… Police tell fox 2 news, one person is in custody.

Detectives believe there are several other people involved in this shooting.
