Shoes for Orphan Souls is a ministry of Buckner International, a non-profit organization that provided new shoes to dozens of children in the Valley.

Growing up in a community such as Pueblo de palmas is tough… A gift is something many children  often do not experience in this small often forgotten part of penitas… But today… Life just got better.

Buckner missionaries delivered new pairs of shoes for over 150 at-risk children.

Jacob Fitzgerald traveled from Zavalla, Texas. He tells fox 2 News, the needs of valley children are overwhelming.

Mireya Alfaro says, like many other families in Pueblo de Palmas, she’s had to stretch her dollar to survive. Surviving, often times means no unnecessary purchases especially news stuff like shoes. But she’s thankful today her daughter will walk out with a brand new pair.
