A man has been found guilty of murdering a convenience store clerk in Edinburg.

Gilbert Villarreal will be sentenced next Monday…

During the trial he denied killing Miguel Aguilar who was shot multiple times back in April of 2007 while he was working at a gas station located south of the expressway 281.

Villarreal was arrested in the state of Georgia and was later extradited to the valley.

Another suspect was involved in the homicide, he was also found guilty on murder charges over a month ago.
