RGV Food Bank to open new location

he Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony, which was to announce the renovation of their new building.
The building located in Pharr was bought in 2005, and through donations from the community the Food Bank is able to start renovations sometime this month. Hidalgo co judge, J.D. Salinas says this new building will help serve the valley even better.
The building will hopefully be finished by the summer of ’09 although they are still in need of monetary donations, so if you would like to help you are encouraged to call the Food Bank at (956) 682 8101.
