R.G.V. FOOD BANK NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

The food bank of the Rio Grande Valley, which provides disaster assistance to our local member agencies and other food banks to alleviate the strain of the increased need in their communities, is asking for volunteers.
With the eminent threat of a hurricane hitting the Rio Grande Valley the food bank is not only getting their offices ready.
They will also need to reach out to more of our community for help and hands to deliver aid to people in need of food, and especially water.
Natural gas, chemicals, and petroleum from submerged cars possibly contaminate the fresh water supply in a hurricane affected areas.
