Pre-Trial Hearing in John Francis Rogers Murder Case

They say blood is thicker than water, but not in the case of John Rogers who allegedly robbed and killed his own father. Monday morning, Rogers along with two other suspects, Bryant Riley and George Sweeny attended a pre-trial hearing in which prosecutors revealed that they are seeking the death penalty for the trio. The men accused face capital murder charges and are being held without bond, their attorney’s requested a witness list and permission to put experts on the stand during the trial. According to official reports John Francis Rogers was killed inside his residence in Donna back in March.
