Police are investigating the mysterious shooting of a woman in mission

Officers are trying to figure out why the female victim was left at a Valero convenience store near Shary road and expressway 83 this morning.
According to investigators, the woman was shot in the right temple and suffered major injuries to her face.
She was transported to a local hospital where she is cooperating with detectives in the investigation.
Fox 2 news has learned the victim was shot north of mission during a gathering and two men dropped her off at the convenience store in a grey or silver Pontiac Sunbird.
The victim’s name was not released but she is believed to be in her mid twenties.
