The San Juan police department has received a 67 thousand dollar grant to zero in on gangs, gang members and gang activity in the psja area.
Through this grant, funded by the office of the governor, the department was able to purchase a software called “gangscope”. San Juan is the first city in the valley to acquire such system.
This grant will also pay for additional computer equipment and overtime for officers working in the gang intelligence division.
