Researchers say this could explain language and listening problems associated with autism.
Doctors at children’s hospital of Philadelphia had thirty autistic children listen to sounds while monitoring the tiny magnetic fields produced by their brain’s electrical impulses.
They say the findings could mean there’s an abnormal routing or a lack of connectivity in the brain of people with autism.
They presented the study at the radiological society of North America
