Over 200 Elsa school district employees could be laid off

The economic hard times are weighing down on Edcouch Elsa with financial readjustments on its way.
Before Christmas at least 200 people could be without a job. The mandate was stipulated by the financial conservator and will hit the support and maintenance staffs the hardest, nonetheless some teachers will also be laid off.
The decision comes after the districts seven-and-a-half million-dollar budget shortfall.
