Over 1,000 pounds of marijuana seized

Mission police department and border patrol agents were involved in a chase this afternoon.
It all began around 5 o’clock near Shaubach, when officers observed suspicious activity. The driver and the passenger stopped at the Anzalduas Park where they escaped authorities by swimming to the other side of the river where a boat helped them out.
The vehicle, an F-250 ford pick up truck was loaded with over 1029 pounds of marijuana.
