Keeping with the times, the mission police department has come up with a fast and easy way of alerting its citizens to need to know information.
The city will now begin sending out text messages to its residents to alert them of things like major accidents, road closures and other emergency information.
Missionpolice.org. There’s an area that says text message where you can enter your cell phone number and these messages will be, depending on the activities going on throughout our city, from 8 am until 10 pm.”
The service is absolutely free and is already a working function.
