Police are may very well prosecute a man in connection to the disappearance of Laura Garza. Michael Mele is in police custody on unrelated charges: he was arrested in 2007 for lewd behavior against other women and has been in custody for violating parole. He is also a registered sex offender. Mele was the last person Laura was seen with on December 3 while leaving a Manhattan nightclub. Authorities had confirmed that Mele had bite marks on his hands, scratches on his neck and refused to be interviewed by investigators. Officials also found a very large piece of carpet missing from his apartment. Laura’s body has yet to be found. Investigators are currently following new leads and waiting on more DNA test results
