Navarro faces more charges

Hours after renouncing her post as Hidalgo county elections administrator, Teresa Navarro is indicted for a second time.
A grand jury brought charges of abuse of office and additional charges of records tampering stemming from an initial indictment two weeks ago. The new charges relate to mis-using county credit cards. Now, county officials must decide how to handle the elections department with no permanent leader. In the meantime, Valde Guerra, head of budget and management will oversee the elections office. The elections commission is tentatively set to meet again on June 30th.
