Muggers Face Charges

Foxrio2.com is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Two men are facing charges after mugging a seventeen-year-old woman and taking off with her purse and cell phone. 19-year-old Luis Estrada allegedly flashed a pistol at the victim as he demanded her belongings. Authorities were able to find Estrada a few minutes later. Police also arrested a second man, eighteen-year-old Christopher Gamez.
Both men face aggravated robbery charges. Estrada and Gamez face a million dollar and a 750 thousand bond respectively.
The victim was waiting for her school bus last Monday when the aggravated robbery occurred on the 700 block of Alameda Street. Police believe the gun used in the crime was stolen out of McAllen.
