Mother Arraigned on Baby’s Death

The Laguna Vista woman who was accused of killing her own baby three years ago has pleaded guilty to a charge of injury to a child. The guilty plea to the lesser charge was entered this morning before 138th state district judge Arturo Nelson.
Jacqueline Reich has since been taken into custody and will remain jailed until her trial begins on February 12. Reich stands accused injuring and murdering her newborn baby in September of 2005. Cameron county sheriff deputies found the body of the baby stuffed inside a suitcase at Reich
