For all those who continue to struggle with damages sustained from hurricane dolly, FEMA and other loan agencies are still working to resolve the situation.
In a telephone conference this morning, FEMA stated that 9.2 million dollars have been approved to help the victims of hurricane dolly in Hidalgo County, while in Cameron 7.6 million dollars have been approved, and 810 thousand dollars have also been allotted for Willacy county. In total more than 17 million dollars have been approved.
The small business bureau is also making stride. They have been providing loans up to 40 thousand dollars with low interest for homeowners, renters, business owners, non-profit organizations and effected churches.
“For example if an individual is renting they could be up to 40 thousand dollars for the personal property in contents, including a vehicle that may have been lost. For example if an individual had a vehicle that had liability insurance only and it was damage in storm and is no longer usable, SBA might be able to provide a loan for that”
For more information on loans, you can contact the small business bureau at 1-800-659-2955
