Mercedes Pastor Admits to Abusing Granddaughters

A Mercedes man is behind bars tonight after sexually assaulting his two granddaughters over a period of several years. 61-year-old Tomas Gonzales turned himself in to police yesterday after his daughter in law filed a report on June 16th for sexual assault against her two daughters now 15 and 12 years old. According to Mercedes Police Sgt. Hugo Ramos, Gonzales confessed to having sexually assaulted his two granddaughters since they were 5 and 6-years-old. The eldest made an outcry in a letter she wrote to her mother about the abuse. In the letter, the child claimed the abuse would happen every time they would visit their grandfather
