Republican presidential nominee john McCain is prepared to make the case for his candidacy to convention delegates and a national television audience tonight.The Arizona senator spent the day working on speech preparation.McCain and his vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin will campaign together immediately after the convention, with appearances scheduled for tomorrow in Wisconsin and Michigan. Palin’s speech last night was important for the McCain campaign as it marked her introduction to a national audience.The Alaska governor, while considered a rising star within some republican circles, was little known beyond her state’s borders, and she largely stayed out of the public eye in the days following her selection as McCain’s running mate.
