McAllen teacher found guilty of having inappropriate relationship with student

Earlier today at the 370th district court closing arguments came to an end in the case against 30-year-old Ricardo Garcia. According to court documents, Garcia, a teacher at idea quest academy sustained a sexual relationship with one of his students, a 13-year-old girl, back in may of this year. The trial began three days ago. At the beginning of our newscast deliberations were still taking place however we have been informed that deliberations ended tonight finding Garcia guilty of 9 out of 12 counts. The 9 counts were second-degree felonies and could face up to 20 years in prison.
