McAllen Man Dies After Being Struck By A Truck

An elderly man died this morning after he was run over by a vehicle as he attempted to cross a busy intersection. According to McAllen police, 71-year-old Felix Araiza was struck by a maroon ford pickup truck as he made his way across Bicentennial Boulevard near Dallas Street.The auto pedestrian accident happened around 5:30 this morning. The driver of the pickup truck managed to stop and call 9-1-1, however the victim died later at the McAllen medical center. The cause of the accident and an autopsy report are still pending.
