Man Tries to Rape Woman on Park Slide

A man is behind bars after having allegedly kidnapped and attempted to sexually assault his ex-girlfriend. 40 year old Daniel Gomez Livas, was arrested late Saturday night after police say he kidnapped his ex-girlfriend from her home ant took her to la vista park in McAllen. There, he allegedly stripped her of her clothing and tried to rape her on a slide. Fortunately, the victim managed to escape from her attacker because he passed out. The woman told police officers at one point Livas punched her and attempted to strangle her to keep her from screaming. She managed to get away and ask for help at a nearby home. Livas was arrested and is now facing aggravated kidnapping charges. He
