A dramatic Good Friday for the city of Alamo as authorities investigate a shooting that happened last night. Police say around 11 pm officers from the Hidalgo County sheriff’s office responded to an emergency call alerting them about shots being fired on the 500 block of Pantera Street. One man was transferred to a McAllen hospital with gun shot wounds; his identity and medical condition remain unknown. Tonight the search continues for the gunman and investigators are now looking for either a blue Crown Victoria or a Chevy Caprice.
Why the shooting happened is not clear at this hour. If you have any information please contact the Hidalgo county crimestoppers line at (956) 668-8477.
