Lockdown after fight at a pep rally at Edcouch Elsa high school

District officials say students gathered to watch the fight when rumors started spreading about a student with a gun. The rumors were unfounded but some students called or texted their parents in a bit of a panic. Teachers then took cell phones away in an effort to calm things down. The lockdown was lifted a short time later. Two students were arrested and face criminal charges.
