Landin pleads guilty to more narcotics charges

This comes as the former second in -command of the gulf cartel in Reynosa continues to appeal a previous conviction for drug trafficking, money laundering and conspiracy.
The plea agreement for the 52-year-old former Tamaulipas state police commander includes admitting his role in moving a cocaine shipment into the united states back in 2006.
Four other federal charges against him were dropped as part of the agreement. Landin is serving a life sentence rooted from a January conviction on a case in which federal authorities linked him to several drug shipments that were smuggled into the country.
