In La Joya this Tuesday police took part in a high-speed chase that led to the detection of at least 12 undocumented immigrants. According to police a suspicious pick up truck traveling eastbound on expressway 83. The driver suddenly sped off and led authorities in a high speed chase that ended suddenly when the suspected undocumented immigrants jumped off the vehicle and sped off on foot. Authorities also had video to show us. It involves another pursuit which occurred last Friday, when the suspect saw the cops he fled on foot into a residential area. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was seized by authorities.
