La Joya Judge Indicted for Abuse of Power

The suspension stems from a flurry of charges that the judge faces por abuse of power. According to records at least three people filed complaits against the judge for having been arrested in an unjustified manner. Others claim to have been intimidated by the judge. Olivia Gonzalez tells Fox 2 News that while her daughter was in the judge’s court, she began to feel ill. But the judge threatened to arrest her instead of helping. Hidalgo County District Attorney, Rene Guerra, says no one is exempt from the law, including those that enforce it. Joe garza turned himself in to county authorities and Judge Rose Guerra gave him a $5,000 P.R. bond.
